COWARDS HIDE BEHIND MASKS — Always Active
  • A completed Headline inflicts a 9.9% Cowardice Passive for 12 seconds and refreshes existing ones. These are paused during Special Attacks. Max stacks: -1.
  • Once per fight when J. Jonah takes a picture of the Opponent, he gains an indefinite +3.0 Austere Armor Up Buff. This Armor Up persists between fights if J. Jonah defeats the menace with at least one of these Armor Ups active. Max stacks: -1.
ALWAYS ACTIVE
  • The Spider-Slayer’s robotics have thorough protection for J. Jonah’s physical body, providing Immunity to Bleed and Poison.
  • J. Jonah isn’t trained to land Critical Hits. When he would land a Critical Hit, the Spider-Slayer suit instead inflicts Instant Shocks dealing Energy Damage equal to the Critical Damage the hit would have dealt.
  • As a Defender, J. Jonah’s Shocks and Power Burns deal -70.0% less damage.
  • All of J. Jonah's personal effects, as well as the Parry and Dexterity Masteries, gain 25.0% increased Ability Accuracy.
ANGER MANAGEMENT
  • J. Jonah Jameson has a short fuse and doesn’t like being manipulated. When he is inflicted with Taunt, Infuriate, Intimidate, or Delirium, he becomes more aggressive and filled with a +40.0 Fury Passive for 12 seconds. Max stacks: 10.
  • J. Jonah’s personal Furies cannot end during his Special Attacks.
  • Similarly, J. Jonah is a natural at riling up his detractors. When the Opponent hits J. Jonah’s Block, he inflicts them with a -50.0% Obfuscate Debuff for 5 seconds. Max stacks: -1.
SPIDER-SLAYER ARMOR — MAX: 12
  • Start each fight with an indefinite +15.0 Austere Armor Up Buff.
  • Armor Ups gained after the first have a potency of +2.5 and duration of 20 seconds, expiring one at a time.
  • J. Jonah’s Shocks and Power Burns gain 15.0% increased potency for each active Armor Up effect, up to 20 Armor Ups.
FRONT PAGE HEADLINE
  • J. Jonah Jameson has the best Front Page Headlines in the business. After a fight begins, J. Jonah will improvise a Headline for how he will fight the latest menace and call out an action for the Attacker to complete.
  • Front Page Headlines have 700.0 seconds to be completed, with a 5 second cooldown. As a Defender, these timers are swapped.
  • If the Attacker completes a Headline:
  • J. Jonah gains a Spider-Slayer Austere Armor Up Buff.
  • Inflict a Slow Passive for 12 seconds, paused during Special Attacks. While a #Spider-Verse Hero is suffering from a Slow effect, J. Jonah can’t Miss.
  • When a Headline fails, J. Jonah loses 1 personal Armor Up.
  • No new Headlines are created during any Special Attacks. As an Attacker, Headlines are paused during the Opponent's Special Attacks.
HEAVY ATTACK — HEADLINE REWRITE
  • As an Attacker, landing the final hit of a Heavy Attack during a Front Page Headline refreshes the Headline with a new choice.
SMILE FOR THE CAMERA!
  • As an Attacker holding block, J. Jonah can Swipe Up on his controls to take a picture of the Opponent, causing a blinding flash and Passively Faltering the Opponent for 3 seconds.
  • As a Defender, the camera is used automatically once J. Jonah starts to Block an attack. Auto-Block won't trigger this.
  • This effect goes on cooldown once used, and becomes available again after 200.0 Front Page Headlines have started.
  • When the Opponent Misses while Faltered, J. Jonah gains a personal Fury Passive. This can only trigger once per Falter.
  • J. Jonah and the Opponent have increased aggression while J. Jonah’s Opponent is Faltered. While J. Jonah’s personal Falter is active, he gains Stun Immunity.
SPECIAL ATTACKS
  • While the Opponent is below Max Power, each Special Attack hit Power Burns them, up to a combined total of 10%, 20%, or 30% of their Max Power based on the Special Attack used.
  • These Power Burns deal up to 18.9 Direct Damage for every 1% of Max Power burnt.
